New Course dates

We have updated the Mountain Bike centre Website with some new courses starting in September.

We are offering more 1st Aid courses, BEL Basic expedition leader qualifications and navigation courses. We also have some educational guided walks on offer for those who have an interest about the History of the Longmynd all led by our latest team member Don Hale.

1st WEDNESDAY NIGHT RIDE OUT

Our 1st Wednesday night ride out was a huge success with 14 riders of all ability, including Marc Beaumont ( shropshires world cup winner last week in Val di Sole).

A climb up the forestry then a fast decent down to the cattle grid at the bottom of Asterton Bank, then a huge climb up the road to the gliding station, finishing off down Minton Batch with some 1st timers who have definitely got hooked.

Back to The Station Inn for a well deserved beer and complimentary Sausage & chips.

Would be great to see even more riders next week meeting every Wednesday at Shropshire Hills Mtb centre at 6.30.

MOUNTAIN BIKE CENTRE NOW OPEN

After a fantastic weekend SHROPSHIRE HILLS MTB & OUTDOOR PURSUIT CENTRE is finally open, over 300 people attended through out the day. Our hire fleet is already very busy and the Camping pods are almost full for August, we couldn’t have wished for a better start and to top it all our local Rider Marc Beaumont won the latest round of the world cup series in Val Di Sole, it really does look like Shropshire is the place to ride at the moment.

Official Opening

We are very please to announce the grand opening of Shropshire Hills MTB centre & Shropshire camping & pods Saturday 31st July.

All welcome from 10am, rides out through out the day, music, BBQ and free camping for any one wishing to stay and enjoy the party.

Sunday morning breakfast and yes another ride out for those who can face it.

Come and help us celebrate and make it a day to remember.

Progress at Last

After a massive set back with a landslide where our toilet and shower block was being built we have now found a solution to move forward.

Our mtb centre and camping pod site was due to open mid May but now will be open by August.

We look set to launch a pilot scheme for way marked trails and maps for The Longmynd over the next few weeks. You will be able to get a free copy of these maps from The Station Inn at Marshbrook Until the new MTB centre opens.

The Shropshire Hills MTB web site is now up and running and so is our camping & pod website with Blazing bikes online shop being launched in July.

MTB Centre update

We look forward to our new MTB centre website being launched in the next couple of weeks then to follow will be the launch of our online shop offering some great branded products.

please sign up to our mailing list so we can keep you informed on the opening of our new centre and give you an invite to the launch day. We are also still working very hard with the National trust to get some of the best trails way marked on the Longmynd.

If any one wants to enjoy the area pre our opening please feel free to use our car park and enjoy a fine beer or great steak in our pub afterwards.
