Bergmonch Mountain Scooter Test Day!
Good Evening from Blazing Bikes HQ.
We have had an interesting and fun few hours up on the Long Mynd today, testing a brand new product that we are very proud to be bringing to Blazing Bikes. The ‘Bergmonch’ is a fold away scooter contained into its own rucksack to then carry around. Its fully shocked and suspended for mountain terrain. It has been designed to be easy to carry to the summit for walkers and in less than a minute you can unfold it out into its riding form, giving you an exhilarating and quick descent down the hill/mountain you are on.
Believe us… IT IS A LOT OF FUN!!
Will and Ben pictured put the Bergmonch through its paces. At a very manageable 9 kilos you forget after a very short time that you have anything on your back as you start to walk. Like a conventional rucksack it clips with chest and belly straps. Bergmonchs Monty gives us a fold out demo below.
So next was to give it a good test on some awkward path terrain and it stood up to all thrown at it as down hill rider Will rode it like his Santa Cruz and gave it some stick!
Made for Bergmonch by Danish Mountain Bike company Koga, it is very strong and sturdy and very quickly our riders got used to the very comfortable position you are in. A good centre of gravity makes you feel very safe and it wasn’t long before the boys were jumping off edges and rock formations! The fun didn’t end there though with this in mind, we took it down to the local skate park to run it over the ramps.
We have just placed an order for a few so will have some in stock for hire down at Blazing Bikes. http://www.blazingbikes.co.uk/
We will be putting a page up on the website over the next few days with more images and a film that we made to accompany the test. We were very impressed with this product as it really gives you options when out walking on the hill, a great new discipline to take out with you!
If you cant wait for our little video then why not check out the video and product on the Bergmonch website at http://www.bergmoench.com/en/
See you soon,
